Too Good Not To Share
‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
” On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi”
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
This Says It ALL and really truly makes me ILL

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Last night was fun. Kyrie was Dorothy, I was Glinda, Dan was the cowardly lion although he wouldn't leave his costume on. Jacob was a vampire, Kade a wizard. By the end of the evening I was tired of hearing the munchkins singing to follow the yellow brick road. I looped that song, plus ding dong the with is dead, and lions and tigers and bears oh my!! and played them over, and over, and over again. Everyone liked the display though and the kids had fun walking down the yellow brick road.

My '04 Carving Masterpiece
Tomorrow night is "Trunk or Treat" at church. I will be Glinda the good witch, Kyrie is Dorothy, Daniel the cowardly lion, and Wade will be the wizard of OZ. I made a tin man today and bought a little scarecrow. I am also making a yellow brick road that will lead up to the candy and the wizard behind the curtain. I'm feeling crafty this season. The dog is obviously Toto. I will take lots of pics tomorrow night for those interested.

Daniel's First Stitches

As he is one of my children, it is inevitable that he will soon have a broken left arm too. Wed. night Wade and the oldest 2 went on a temple trip to Orlando. About an hour after they left Daniel somehow split open his forehead. Not sure how he did it (have a better idea after seeing him hang on the island and try to flip his body through his arms today) except that he said he hit the tile floor. Didn't want to take him to the E.R. Wade wanted me to wait for him to get home to stitch it up. So, we bandaged it up and waited the 5 hours until daddy got home. Dan feel asleep right before. At the office I wrapped him up in a blanket to hold his arms down and he only fussed for a few seconds when Wade numbed him up, and after that laid there to let daddy fix his "boo boo". He was really good.

Obama campaign cuts off WFTV after interview with Joe Biden

WFTV-Channel 9's Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it's some of the best entertainment he's seen recently. What do you think?
West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama's comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn't being a Marxist with the "spreading the wealth" comment.
"Are you joking?" said Biden, who is Obama's running mate. "No," West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America's days as the world's leading power were over.
"I don't know who's writing your questions," Biden shot back.
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."
Here's a link to the interview: http://www.wftv.com/video/17790025/index.html.
WFTV news director Bob Jordan said, "When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes."
Jordan said political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.
"Mr. Biden didn't like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions."
Jordan added, "I'm crying foul on this one."
What did you think of the interview?

LONGWOOD, Fla. -- The home of a Central Florida Republican headquarters manager was shot up and damaged over his support of Sen. John McCain, the man told police. Rog Coverely said several pellets pierced his Longwood home. Coverely showed several spiderwebbed-holes in the front windows of his home. The Republican manager said he is convinced he was targeted because of new McCain signs he added around his home."All I can tell you is this, I have a very good relationship with my neighbors," Coverely said. "I mow my lawn. The only thing that has changed is I have two McCain signs in my front yard."Coverely said he has taken about 300 calls concerning stolen or vandalized McCain signs in the area."It says this campaign is getting vicious," Coverely said.Coverely said it appears Democrats are becoming more aggressive in the county."I wouldn't say slipping, but I would say the Democrats have become far more aggressive in Seminole County because it is such a heavy Republican area," Coverely said. Meanwhile, McCain was in Florida on Thursday. The Republican presidential nominee spoke at Allstar Building Materials in Ormond Beach. Later he'll be in Sarasota for a "Joe the Plumber" bus tour rally at Robarts Arena.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.

"Flame Responsibly"
Did you know, that in Massachusetts, where same sex marriages are legal, your children in public schools are taught that this is an acceptable lifestyle and as normal as having a mom and dad? Not only are they taught this from kindergarten on up, you do not have the right to be notified when your child(ren) will be taught this, nor do you have the right to opt your child(ren) out of these lessons because they are protected under the diversity doctrine. No doubt the same rules will follow in other states legalizing gay marriages.
Did you know that your religious freedoms will be litigated away? Take the following examples:
When Gay Rights and Religious Liberties Clash
NPR.org, June 13, 2008 · In recent years, some states have passed laws giving residents the right to same-sex unions in various forms. Gay couples may marry in Massachusetts and California. There are civil unions and domestic partnerships in Vermont, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Oregon. Other states give more limited rights.
Armed with those legal protections, same-sex couples are beginning to challenge policies of religious organizations that exclude them, claiming that a religious group's view that homosexual marriage is a sin cannot be used to violate their right to equal treatment. Now parochial schools, "parachurch" organizations such as Catholic Charities and businesses that refuse to serve gay couples are being sued — and so far, the religious groups are losing. Here are a few cases:
Adoption services: Catholic Charities in Massachusetts refused to place children with same-sex couples as required by Massachusetts law. After a legislative struggle — during which the Senate president said he could not support a bill "condoning discrimination" — Catholic Charities pulled out of the adoption business in 2006.
Housing: In New York City, Yeshiva University's Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a school under Orthodox Jewish auspices, banned same-sex couples from its married dormitory. New York does not recognize same-sex marriage, but in 2001, the state's highest court ruled Yeshiva violated New York City's ban on sexual orientation discrimination. Yeshiva now allows all couples in the dorm.
Parochial schools: California Lutheran High School, a Protestant school in Wildomar, holds that homosexuality is a sin. After the school suspended two girls who were allegedly in a lesbian relationship, the girls' parents sued, saying the school was violating the state's civil rights act protecting gay men and lesbians from discrimination. The case is before a state judge.
Medical services: A Christian gynecologist at North Coast Women's Care Medical Group in Vista, Calif., refused to give his patient in vitro fertilization treatment because she is in a lesbian relationship, and he claimed that doing so would violate his religious beliefs. (The doctor referred the patient to his partner, who agreed to do the treatment.) The woman sued under the state's civil rights act. The California Supreme Court heard oral arguments in May 2008, and legal experts believe that the woman's right to medical treatment will trump the doctor's religious beliefs. One justice suggested that the doctors take up a different line of business.
Psychological services: A mental health counselor at North Mississippi Health Services refused therapy for a woman who wanted help in improving her lesbian relationship. The counselor said doing so would violate her religious beliefs. The counselor was fired. In March 2001, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit sided with the employer, ruling that the employee's religious beliefs could not be accommodated without causing undue hardship to the company.
Civil servants: A clerk in Vermont refused to perform a civil union ceremony after the state legalized them. In 2001, in a decision that side-stepped the religious liberties issue, the Vermont Supreme Court ruled that he did not need to perform the ceremony because there were other civil servants who would. However, the court did indicate that religious beliefs do not allow employees to discriminate against same-sex couples.
Adoption services: A same-sex couple in California applied to Adoption Profiles, an Internet service in Arizona that matches adoptive parents with newborns. The couple's application was denied based on the religious beliefs of the company's owners. The couple sued in federal district court in San Francisco. The two sides settled after the adoption company said it will no longer do business in California.
Wedding services: A same sex couple in Albuquerque asked a photographer, Elaine Huguenin, to shoot their commitment ceremony. The photographer declined, saying her Christian beliefs prevented her from sanctioning same-sex unions. The couple sued, and the New Mexico Human Rights Commission found the photographer guilty of discrimination. It ordered her to pay the lesbian couple's legal fees ($6,600). The photographer is appealing.
Wedding facilities: Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association of New Jersey, a Methodist organization, refused to rent its boardwalk pavilion to a lesbian couple for their civil union ceremony. The couple filed a complaint with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. The division ruled that the boardwalk property was open for public use, therefore the Methodist group could not discriminate against gay couples using it. In the interim, the state's Department of Environmental Protection revoked a portion of the association's tax benefits. The case is ongoing.
Youth groups: The city of Berkeley, Calif., requested that the Sea Scouts (affiliated with the Boy Scouts) formally agree to not discriminate against gay men in exchange for free use of berths in the city's marina. The Sea Scouts sued, claiming this violated their beliefs and First Amendment right to the freedom to associate with other like-minded people. In 2006, the California Supreme Court ruled against the youth group. In San Diego, the Boy Scouts lost access to the city-owned aquatic center for the same reason. While these cases do not directly involve same-sex unions, they presage future conflicts about whether religiously oriented or parachurch organizations may prohibit, for example, gay couples from teaching at summer camp. In June 2008, the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals asked the California Supreme Court to review the Boy Scouts' leases. Meanwhile, the mayor's office in Philadelphia revoked the Boy Scouts' $1-a-year lease for a city building.
I know in California members of the church are worried about the temples eventually being closed down if they refuse to offer same sex marriages within them. My first thought at this was surely not. The gov't can't demand that you change your religious beliefs to accommodate something you are so morally opposed to. But, the above mentioned lawsuits are laying the ground work for exactly that. Take a stand, spread the information, and vote to support your right to define marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman.

TAG! You're Busted
Robbery rap for Florida man who boosted popular body spray
OCTOBER 21--Meet David Mlynick. The Florida man is facing a robbery charge for allegedly stealing TAG body spray from a grocery store and then pulling what appeared to be a gun on a store manager who pursued him into a nearby business. Mlynick, 23, allegedly boosted the deodorant--which is heavily marketed to young men--from a Publix store in Dania Beach, according to a Broward County Sheriff's Office report. The TAG body spray retails for about $4. When Publix employees spotted Mlynick and a friend trying to steal the deodorant, they confronted the second man, who placed the Tag back on a store shelf. After Mlynick left the Publix and entered the Dollar Store next door, he was approached by Publix manager Vincent Harris, who asked for the return of the TAG body spray. Mlynick "responded by becoming belligerent" and pulling out a black handgun, which was subsequently determined to be a BB gun. Mlynick was eventually arrested for robbery and booked into the Broward County jail, where the below mug shot was taken. "Mlynick, who "had deodorant spray on his person" at the time of his arrest, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond. (2 pages)

- Berg's lawsuit against Obama and the DNC: today was the deadline for Obama's atty to file their response to the request for admission. They have not done so therefore by de facto have admitted all of Berg's claims. (See America's Right for details)
“According to Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, a party upon whom requests for admissions have been served must respond, within 30 days, or else the matters in the requests will be automatically deemed conclusively admitted for purposes of the pending action.
On September 15, Philip Berg served Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee with a request for admissions. The Federal Rules require that a response be filed within the 30-day time limit, and Barack Obama and the DNC have not.”

- An hour or so before Obama’s announcement, conservative commentator and Obama critic Andy Martin was scheduled to file an emergency petition with the Hawaii Supreme Court to “release Barack Obama’s family records,” including his “birth certificate and related records.”
- Joe Biden seems to be stumping for his opponent: ie his claims that within 6 months of taking office Obama's international policies will be tried by a catastrophic event ie. the attack of Israel by Iran and maybe Russia

Communist's Goals in America
_____________________
On Jan. 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida read a list of 45 Communist goals into the Congressional Record. The list was derived from researcher Cleon Skousen’s book “The Naked Communist.” These principles are well worth revisiting today in order to gain insights into the thinking and strategies of much of our so-called liberal elite.
1. U.S. should accept coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. should be willing to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
These encapsulate the Kennan Doctrine, which advocated for the “containment” of communism. Establishment figures supporting the amoral containment policy at least implicitly worked with the communists in scaring the wits out of the American people concerning atomic war.
President Ronald Reagan undid the doctrine when he took an aggressive stand against the Evil Empire by backing freedom fighters from around the world that were struggling against the left-wing communist jackboot. As a result, the Soviet Union and its satellites imploded, a considerable and unexpected setback to the international communist edifice.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the U.S. would be a demonstration of “moral strength.”
The nuclear freeze advocates supported a freeze on American nuclear development only. Rarely were Soviet nukes or those of other nations mentioned in their self-righteous tirades. The same advocates now call for reducing American military might, claiming that there is something immoral about America preserving its military pre-eminence in the world.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
Today, there are calls to end the embargo on the slave island of Cuba, there were complaints about the embargo against Iraq, and the U.S., not Saddam Hussein, was blamed for the suffering of the Iraqi people. Would they have advocated for free trade with Hitler and his National Socialist regime?
5. Extend long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
Such aid and trade over decades contributed greatly to the left-wing communist liquidation of over 100 million people worldwide, according to the well-documented “Black Book of Communism.”
This aid and trade marks a shameful chapter in American history. Without the aid and trade, the left-wing international communist behemoth would have imploded on its own rot a lot sooner and umpteen millions would have been saved from poverty, misery, starvation and death.
7. Grant recognition of Red China and admission of Red China to the U.N.
Not only did President Jimmy Carter fulfill this goal but he also betrayed America’s allies in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Iran, Afghanistan, Angola and elsewhere.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the U.S. has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
There are still American intellectuals, and elected members of Congress, who dream of an eventual one world government and who view the U.N., founded by communists such as Alger Hiss, the first secretary-general, as the instrument to bring this about.
World government was also the dream of Adolf Hitler and J.V. Stalin. World government was the dream of Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 hijackers.
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
While the idea of banning any political party runs contrary to notions of American freedom and liberty, notions that are the exact opposite of those held by the left-wing communists themselves, nevertheless these goals sought to undermine the constitutional obligation of Congress to investigate subversion. The weakening of our government’s ability to conduct such investigations led to the attack of 9/11.
It is entirely proper and appropriate for our government to expect employees, paid by the American taxpayer, to take an oath of loyalty.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the U.S.
In his book “Reagan’s War,” Peter Schweizer demonstrates the astonishing degree to which communists and communist sympathizers have penetrated the Democratic Party. In his book, Schweizer writes about the presidential election of 1979.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
This strategy goes back to the founding of the American Civil Liberties Union by Fabian Socialists Roger Baldwin and John Dewey and Communists William Z. Foster and Elizabeth Gurley Flynn among others.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations that are under Communist attack.
The success of these goals, from a communist perspective, is obvious. Is there any doubt this is so?
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,” substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. ” Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
24.Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural and healthy.”
This is the Gramscian agenda of the “long march through the institutions” spelled out explicitly: gradual takeover of the “means of communication” and then using those vehicles to debauch the culture and weaken the will of the individual to resist.
Today those few who still have the courage to advocate public morality are denounced and viciously attacked. Most Americans are entirely unwitting regarding the motives behind this agenda.
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
This has been largely accomplished through the communist infiltration of the National Council of Churches, Conservative and Reform Judaism, and the Catholic seminaries.
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state”
Replacing belief in the creator with belief in the earthly man-controlled State.
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
And replace our nation of “laws, not men” with royal decree emanating from appointed judges and executive orders. Replace elected officials with bureaucrats.
30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of “the big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
Obliterating the American past, with its antecedents in principles of freedom, liberty and private ownership is a major goal of the communists then and now.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
Public ownership of the means of production, the core principle of totalitarianism.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
Turn America into a socialist police state.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
The Soviets used to send “social misfits” and those deemed politically incorrect to massive mental institutions called gulags. The Red Chinese call them lao gai. Hitler called them concentration camps.
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose communist goals.
Psychiatry remains a bulwark of the communist agenda of fostering self-criticism and docility.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
Done! The sovereign family is the single most powerful obstacle to authoritarian control.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
Outcome-based education, values clarification or whatever they’re calling it this year.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a “united force” to solve economic, political or social problems.
This describes the dialectical fostering of group consciousness and conflict, which furthers the interests of authoritarianism.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
The results of this successful campaign are increasingly obvious in the world today.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally Reservation so the U.S. cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.
This would mark a complete subversion of our Constitution and an end to representative sovereign government as we know it, which is the whole idea.

Wishing for some Bathroom Fairies
I love my family. Really, I do. But they are ALL slobs. I live with slobs. Pigs. Filth. Whatever you want to call it it is a daily battle that I am losing. I clean and clean and pick up after everyone in my house every day, only to have to do the exact same thing that very evening. I try to teach responsibility, to pick up after yourself, to put things away where they belong, but how do you do that when one of the adults, who shall remain nameless to protect his identity (snicker) refuses to set the example? Take my bathrooms for example.
After 16 plus years of marriage, my lovely husband still can't put his dirty clothes in the clothes hamper. They end up on the floor next to it. I find his dirty socks everywhere throughout the house: stuffed under the sofa, stuffed under the sofa cushions, on the floor, in the bed, anywhere except where they should be put. For some reason he is unable to locate one of the two waste baskets in our bathroom to throw away things out of the shower. He refuses to use little slivers of soap, "they don't wash well enough", so whenever he gets out a new bar, the box sits in the shower until I decide to throw it away. Ditto with his empty shampoo bottles. He can only use the hand towel to dry his hands for one day, after that it is too germy, so it ends up on the floor next to the clothes hamper. His new favorite saying for another annoying bathroom habit is "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down." I think you get the idea.
My boys are quickly learning that it doesn't matter where they leave their dirty clothes. Anywhere on the floor where they happen to take them off it fine. They also take after their dad about not flushing toilets, but have somehow missed the "if it's brown flush it down" theory. And what is up with leaving huge globs of toothpaste all over the sink and counter top? I'm getting ready to pull my hair out.
My beautiful daughter has her own "little wing" of the house, her own bathroom and bedroom. I have helped her organize both and am daily amazed that they can become so messy and disorganized after being cleaned up just the day before. I mean seriously, how many beauty products, lotions, make-up choices, and hair products does one person require? And why do they all get left out on top of the counter when used instead of being put back away? And the dirty clothes? You guessed it. All over the floor. Well, I'm guessing that is what they are covering since I can't see beneath the piles.
So, why am I wishing for some bathroom fairies? I wish I had something akin to the shoemaker's elves who showed up each night and magically finished his work for him. I wish I had someone to come in and magically clean my bathrooms each night so that I could focus on the rest of the house and not feel like I am always playing catch-up. Sigh...for once I'd like to feel like I was winning the game.

His Most Brilliant Moment Yet
McCain Brings Down House At Al Smith Dinner
GOP Presidential Hopeful Delivers Laugh-Out-Loud Speech
NEW YORK (CBS) ― If only John McCain had more nights like Thursday.
The Republican presidential hopeful walked into the 63rd annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan as a clear underdog, not just in the polls, but also in a room filled with an overwhelming number of powerful New York Democrats. By the time he was through with his near-14-minute speech, he probably made a lot more friends and earned more respect than he'd had previously.
McCain has been criticized for being combative and a bit of a bully in debates, but was anything but on Thursday night.
McCain brought down the house, lighting up faces and shedding a room full of tears with a speech that put a fun touch on countless issues that have been leading the news over the last few weeks.
The Arizona senator touched on his age, wealth, the media, voter registration and, of course, his opponent, Sen. Barack Obama.
"This is a very distinguished and influential audience and as good a place as any to make a major announcement," McCain said. "Events are moving fast in my campaign. And, yes, it is true that this morning I dismissed my entire team of senior advisors. All of their positions will now be held by a man named 'Joe The Plumber.'
"Already my friends, my opponents have been subjecting Joe to their vicious attack machine. His voracity has been questioned by Barack Obama's running mate, 'Joe The 6-Term Senator.' He claims that this honest, hard working small business man could not possibly have enough income to face a tax increase under the Obama plan. What they don't know is Joe The Plumber recently signed a very lucrative contract with a wealthy couple to handle all the work on all seven of their houses."
It didn't take long for McCain to bring Obama into the mix, and considering what the two have said about each other over the last 20 months, Thursday night seemed like a good time for some comic relief.
"This campaign needed the common touch of the working man. After all, it began so long ago with the heralded arrival of the man known to Oprah Winfrey as 'The One.' Being a friend and colleague of Barack I just called him 'That One,'" McCain said in reference to his bully-like tactics in the second presidential debate. "He doesn't mind at all. In fact, he even has a pet name for me: 'George Bush.'"
In attendance Thursday night were such dignitaries as Sen. Hillary Clinton, Gov. David Paterson, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and former Mayor Ed Koch. McCain managed to get one of the best laughs of the night at the expense Clinton.
"It's been that kind of contest and I come here tonight to the Al Smith Dinner knowing I'm the underdog in these final weeks, but if you know where to look there are signs of hope, even in the most unexpected of places, even in the room filled with proud Manhattan Democrats. I can't shake that feeling that some people here are pulling for me.
"I'm delighted to see you here tonight, Hillary."
McCain also took playful shots at former President Bill Clinton and had some fun with MSNBC's Chris Matthews, host of "Hardball."
"I told him, maverick I can do, but messiah is above my pay grade," McCain said. "It's going to be a long, long night at MSNBC if I manage to pull this thing off."
He then launched into a point of contention in the Obama camp – voter registration.
"So, you know I have fun with the media. We all know that the press is really an independent, civic-minded and non-partisan group … like ACORN.
"In case you haven't been following my opponent's 'Get Out The Vote' campaign, ACORN is helping to register groups that were previously excluded, overlooked and under-served – second-graders, the deceased, Disney characters."
While many believe McCain and Obama don't like each other personally, it would be hard to prove as such after listening to McCain's heartfelt comments on his opponent.
"I don't want it getting out of this room, but my opponent is an impressive fellow in many ways," McCain said. "Political opponents can have a little trouble seeing the best in each other. But I've had a few glimpses of this man at his best and I admire his great skill, energy and determination. It's not for nothing, but he's inspired many folks in his own party and beyond. Senator Obama talks about making history and he's made quite a bit of it already. There was a time when the mere invitation of an African-American citizen to dine at the White House was taken as an outrage and an insult. Today is a world away from the cruelty and prideful bigotry of that time – and good riddance.
"I can't wish my opponent luck, but I do wish him well."
Both McCain and Obama will be back out on the campaign trail on Friday, likely with gloves once again off.
God Bless Joe the Plumber
Coming back to Obama's tax plan. How exactly does he propose to reduce taxes to 95% of the citizens when a full 40% of them don't pay taxes in the first place? How does he plan to tax and spend and not send our economy crashing into an abysmal depression that we haven't seen since the early 1900's? There will be no wealth to spread around after he has put the majority of small businesses out of business through his heavy tax policy and his universal mandated health care plan.
I watched the debate on Fox News last night. I kept saying to Wade, "Wow, Obama is not on his game tonight. He looks tired. He almost looks like a deer in headlights, or someone who is waiting for the truths he has been trying to cover up to come and slap him in the face." Then after the debate I heard the analysts on Fox News hand the debate to Obama. He was "cool". He was "collected". He was a "mountain" a steady force that exudes Presidential authority. What the *(#)&&*@(*(!!! Were we even watching the same debate? McCain did what he needed to do. Yes, I would've liked to see him smack Obama in the face with his own lies and words a little bit more, follow through when he had the opportunity to nail him to his Messianic cross, but over all, he did a fine job. He did what he needed to and Joe the Plumber will finish it off nicely for those of us who do have the "audacity to hope". The audacity to hope that America will be for our children and grandchildren, what it was for us. God Bless Joe the Plumber and the heartland of our country who remembers what it means to love God, liberty, and family.

Another one to file under "Crazy @$$ Floridians"
Baby dangled by feet during carjacking
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — A 10-month-old baby was dangled upside down by her feet outside a sport utility vehicle during a Central Florida carjacking.
Alyssa Gould said she and her baby were ambushed in her SUV as they sat at an intersection at 11:20 Friday morning.
Gould told authorities the carjacker opened the driver's side door and pointed a gun at her. The suspect then unbuckled her infant girl and dangled the baby by her feet. The carjacker eventually released the baby to the mother, unharmed, before driving away in the SUV.
The SUV ran out of gas a few miles away. The carjacker fled on foot and remains on the loose, police said.

Jacob and the Tooth Fairy

Jacob just lost another baby tooth. He was excited as he always looks forward to the Tooth Fairy visiting....when she remembers. The Tooth Fairy was however, a bit disappointed to learn that Jake has 3 cavities that need to be crowned and was tempted to ask him for money to pay for said dental work. Once she learned that Jake's parents haven't taken him to the dentist in over a year she was a little bit more sympathetic. Jake left his tooth under the pillow and as she staggered out of bed at 2:30am thinking she forgot to lock a door, she luckily remembered her real reason for being up. Unluckily she was too groggy to remember where any money was and grabbed a handful of change off of her desk. Looking through it she noticed a golden dollar she was hanging on to and thought it would make a lovely Tooth Fairy payment.
The next day Jake informed me that the Tooth Fairy had left him only a quarter. I was very confused. Had she mistakenly put the wrong coin under the pillow? Surely not? I made a quick trip to the desk and looked through the change. No, the golden dollar wasn't there. Where had the quarter come from? I was able to inform Jacob that I heard the Tooth Fairy last night come in the house and knew that she had left him a special golden dollar, that he should look more carefully for it. After tearing his bed apart and throwing stuffed animals, clothes, and blankets everywhere, we still couldn't find the coin. Hmmmm....admittedly I haven't searched as thoroughly as I should, but I was tired. Instead I suggested that Jacob write to the Tooth Fairy and explain what happened. Here is is letter:
"I lost my money because my room is messy. Can you give me some more? I want 8 quarters."
Here is the Tooth Fairy's response:
"DEAR JACOB: YOU SHOULD CLEAN YOUR ROOM. THIS DOLALR PLUS THE GOLD ONE I LEFT BEFOR, IF YOU FIND IT, WILL EQUAL 8 QUARTERS. KEEP BRUSHING YOUR TEETH."
All faith has been restored in the Tooth Fairy's ability to deliver. Now I only have to work on my bathroom fairies. That will be explained in my next post.

Disney World

We finally made it to the Magic Kingdom. The only problem was that it was around 90 degrees and 100% humidity. We were sweltering. After just a few hours we had all had it. We didn't visit any other park and I think we will wait until winter time, whatever that entails for Florida. We only spent $40 on admission as we used the passes from the Lackey trip in 1991 that dad had given me. They actually did honor them. It was great fun and we're looking forward to doing more when the weather is cooler. Jake and Kade were given free mouse ears after getting off of Splash Mountain.

Tired of Politics? How about some Twilight?

Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!
The new movie comes out next month and I can't wait. Usually I'm nervous that the movie won't be true to the book, that it will ruin the story line or something like that, but I don't care this time. I've learned from the HP series that I can like both, even if they are a bit different. Here's to dreaming about my Edward....

Here's the Oct Surprise
I could be wrong, but I think it is illegal for a US gov't official to meet with a foreign leader under what appears to be a policy changing meeting, unless it has been approved by someone. I know that sounds really uneducated, but I read something about that and can't remember the details. Will look into it more later....
Obama can use a computer
John McCain cannot use a computer.
Well guess what ...
Barack cannot land a jet plane on an aircraft carrier at night.

The October Surprise
I'm not sure, but my bet is that it is one of 3 things:
1. Obama's membership in a radical socialist party in Chicago with undeniable proof that he is a socialist and will lead America down that road
2. Obama's real birth certificate shows that he is not eligible to run for POTUS
3. McCain's campaign will release the emails between Obama and Kenya's Odinga revealing Obama's support of his brutality and criminal activity in an effort to win the election and bring about Shariah Law
I would say 4 irrefuttable proof that Obama and Ayers have a much stronger relationship than Obama is owning up to and possibly the release of a video between the two that is damning to Obama, but I think if this exists it will be aired on FOX News.
UPDATE:
Just after I posted I saw this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONfJ7YSXE5w
Frankly, I'm a little disappointed. This news is already out there. I'm still betting there will be a bigger story released by a major network within the next week. The info is out there, just waiting for someone to take off and run with it. Something is going to happen. Why do I say this? Because someone just laid a HUGE amount of money in online betting against Obama winning on InTrade. Makes me think someone has some insider info about something.

![]() WND senior staff writer Jerry Corsi |
NAIROBI, Kenya – The government of Kenya is holding WND senior staff reporter Jerome Corsi in custody at immigration headquarters after police picked him up at his hotel just prior to a scheduled news conference in which he planned to announce the findings of his investigation into Barack Obama's connections in the country.
Corsi, the author of the No. 1 best-selling book "The Obama Nation," was picked up by authorities at his hotel at 9:45 a.m. and detained at Nyayo House, the provincial headquarters for Nairobi.
"Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us," Corsi told WND by telephone this morning. "Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices, with our passports taken. The immigration officer told the press, 'There is no problem, and Dr. Corsi is a friend of Kenya.'"
"There are unconfirmed reports from on the ground in Nairobi that Jerome Corsi and his traveling partner and publicist, Tim Bueler, have left Kenya," said Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND who was in touch with Corsi by telephone and email until 9:30 a.m. Eastern today. "However, we have not been able to reach either Corsi or Bueler for several hours, and we are concerned. Officials in Kenya have not been responsive to our requests for information. We also hear unconfirmed reports from the government claiming it has 'deported' Corsi. Since Corsi was scheduled to leave the country today, this would seem to be a strange action from a government that was well aware of Corsi's presence, his travels and his activities in the country for the last week."
Corsi had extensive meetings with top Kenyan officials upon his arrival. His visit and his activities during his stay have been well-known to authorities at the highest levels.
A senior immigration official in charge of investigations, Carlos Maluta was quoted by the Associated Press as saying: "We still haven't decided what to do with him."Despite reports elsewhere to the contrary, Corsi has not been arrested or charged with any offense.
An official with the Embassy of Kenya in Washington said he was unaware of Corsi's detention. The Ministry of Immigration in Nairobi could not be reached for comment. WND tried again, later, to contact a spokesman for the embassy and was told by a receptionist the official word is that Corsi was not detained. "He's enjoying his holiday in Kenya," she said.
Obama has a long history of connections in Kenya, where his father worked as a government economist. Corsi documented this history in his book and went to Kenya to find answers to lingering questions – particularly about the links between the presidential candidate and Kenya Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Corsi had promised a news conference today that would "expose details of deep secret ties between U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and a section of Kenya government leaders, their connection to certain sectoral groups in Kenya and subsequent plot to be executed in Kenya should Senator Obama win the American presidency."
Meanwhile, the management of the hotel where Corsi was scheduled to hold the press conference has repudiated its plans to provide the facility.
In a press release, the hotel said: "We would like to assure our business partners and the public at large that Laico Regency Hotel is a law-abiding institution and does not condone any smear campaigns. The management cannot allow such activities to take place."

Corsi told WND he has been assured he will be released soon. He had planned to leave the country tomorrow, arriving in London first and the U.S. Friday.
A hotel worker in Nairobi told Reuters Corsi was picked up as soon as he walked into the hotel for the scheduled press conference: "He was walking in and then some immigration officers who were following him snatched him. It happened so fast, they just vanished with him."
"Obama is revered in Kenya for his paternal roots here and as a flagbearer for Africa on the international stage," explained the Reuters dispatch.
Kenyan TV station KTN said Corsi may be sent home due to lack of a work permit. However, Corsi met with top officials in Nairobi earlier this week explaining in detail the purpose of his visit and sharing copies of his news releases and books.
Corsi told WND Editor Joseph Farah by telephone that Kenyan authorities claimed they were holding him because the immigration forms his party filled out for customs had been lost.
Corsi was set to show Obama and Odinga have been in direct contact since the senator's visit to Kenya in 2006. He was to claim Obama advised Odinga on campaign strategy and helped him raise money in the U.S. for the Kenya presidential campaign.
Corsi was to report Odinga's 2007 presidential campaign strategy called for exploiting anti-Kikuyu tribal sentiments, claiming victory and charging voter fraud even if the campaign knew the election had been legitimately lost. Odinga, Corsi said, also was willing to fan the flames of ethnic tribal tensions and use violence as a last resort by calling for mass action that led to the destruction of properties, injuries, loss of life and the displacement of over 500,000 Kenyans. The purpose was to compel the Electoral Commission of Kenya to declare him the winner or enable him to declare himself the winner by force.
Even though Odinga has not fulfilled his campaign promises to the Muslims who voted for him, he continues to cause concern among Kenyans because he has not declared his position on Shariah law, Corsi said.
Corsi said Obama remained in active phone contact with Odinga through the New Hampshire Democratic Party primary in January. The Illinois senator continued to support Odinga, he said, turning a blind eye to an agreement signed with Muslims and the post-election violence instigated as part of the campaign strategy.

It's About Time...Keep it Coming
The GOP presidential candidate told a campaign rally: "Sen. Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed."
In some of the harshest language yet, McCain said the campaign comes down to a simple question: Who is the real Barack Obama?
McCain drew the loudest cheers when he said the Democrat has written two memoirs but "he's not exactly an open book."
Trailing in the polls, McCain and his advisers say they will hammer that theme as the campaign heads toward the Nov. 4 election.
