This has been floating around the blogosphere for a few days now. We were all hoping it wasn't true, but sadly, it seems to be. Man, I hope this is wrong!!! Just reporting, don't take it as fact just yet.
"Sources at the United States Embassy in Beijing China have just CONFIRMED to me that the United States of America has tendered to China a written agreement which grants to the People's Republic of China, an option to exercise Eminent Domain within the USA, as collateral for China's continued purchase of US Treasury Notes and existing US Currency reserves!
The written agreement was brought to Beijing by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was formalized and agreed-to during her recent trip to China.
This means that in the event the US Government defaults on its financial obligations to China, the Communist Government of China would be permitted to physically take -- inside the USA -- land, buildings, factories, perhaps even entire cities - to satisfy the financial obligations of the US government.
Put simply, the feds have now actually mortgaged the physical land and property of all citizens and businesses in the United States. They have given to a foreign power, their Constitutional power to "take" all of our property, as actual collateral for continued Chinese funding of US deficit spending and the continued carrying of US national debt.

I'm as disgusted and angry as I have ever been over something. This man in his quest to turn our beloved country into a communist state has now just handed the reigns of said march to the Commies of China. Breaking in the Glock
Just returned from the firing range. I think I did pretty good considering it's been well over 20+ years since I've fired a handgun. I hit the center of the target on the X twice and in the 7-8-9 range the majority of the time. Only missed the shadow 2X and not by much. Overall, a good start. Let's see. I think it was at about 30 yards out. Not sure. How long is a typically range? I had the target 1/2 way out. I actually hit better than Wade did until he took a good stance. Firing like a criminal with your body turned and a one hand hold just doesn't do it. Kade and Jacob had a turn too. We were all shocked at how loud this weapon is. Bam. BAm. BAM. Very powerful. I've really learned that being shot would not be fun!!!

Wow. Finally some sanity from the MSM...CNBC no less
What. It only took the death of capitalism, the imprisonment of our children's finanical futures/freedoms, and Obambam promising to pay for bad mortgages? What did they think would happen when they helped elect this man?

And I can't help but wonder if Obambam's idea of creating more jobs and stimulating the economy is going to be done in this way....flying around the country in a private 747 to sign said bill in one state, then fly to another to announce his mortgage bailout plan, thus helping increase the amount of jet fuel used since it is in a slump, and adding to, according to Al Gore and the like, green house gases, thus giving more people in bigger gov't the opportunity to create more fear and lies to further enslave those who buy into the disproved arguement, but still create more jobs through bigger gov't to help study it and "control" it through regulation....whew. That was a tough sentence to structure. Even some of the kids at the HS he visited in AZ seem to get it.

Capitulation
I hope the few of you who read this blog have been paying attention and sharing the information you find valuable with family and friends. Our federal gov't has taken over the free market and our financial futures. Now they are following in the footsteps of Europe in capitulating to the radical Muslims who already infest our cities and towns spewing their hatred and guile. By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.
The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims."
Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
Let's review some of Barack Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated a little more than two weeks ago:
* His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
* His first one on one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
* He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
* He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
* He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
* Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.
Anyone else seeing a pattern here?
A new gun law is being rushed through Congress. I don't know how the fed's would expect to follow up with this law if it is to pass as there are so many gun owners in our country, but the thing that scares me in it more than anything is the right given to the gov't to search your home WITHOUT A WARRANT!!!
Here is a summary of the bill:
1/6/2009–Introduced. Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - Amends the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to prohibit a person from possessing a firearm unless that person has been issued a firearm license under this Act or a state system certified under this Act and such license has not been invalidated or revoked. Prescribes license application, issuance, and renewal requirements.
Prohibits transferring or receiving a qualifying firearm unless the recipient presents a valid firearms license, the license is verified, and the dealer records a tracking authorization number. Prescribes firearms transfer reporting and record keeping requirements. Directs the Attorney General to establish and maintain a federal record of sale system.
Prohibits: (1) transferring a firearm to any person other than a licensee, unless the transfer is processed through a licensed dealer in accordance with national instant criminal background check system requirements, with exceptions; (2) licensed manufacturer or dealer from failing to comply with reporting and record keeping requirements of this Act;
(3) failing to report the loss or theft of the firearm to the Attorney General within 72 hours; (4) failing to report to the Attorney General an address change within 60 days; (5)
keeping a loaded firearm, or an unloaded firearm and ammunition for the firearm, knowingly or recklessly disregarding the risk that a child is capable of gaining access, if a child uses the firearm and causes death or serious bodily injury.
Prescribes criminal penalties for violations of firearms provisions covered by this Act. Directs the Attorney General to: (1) establish and maintain a firearm injury information clearinghouse; (2) conduct continuing studies and investigations of firearm-related deaths and injuries; and (3) collect and maintain current production and sales figures of each licensed manufacturer. Victims of Murphy's Law
Why does it never fail? Murphy's Law always seems to bite me in the arse. My car has had a front end vibration since about Oct. of last year. The fix it shop said it might be the rod and pinions and that would be about $1500. If it was just the arm that holds on the tire $400 each. Less than a year ago I had two new tires put on and the front brakes replaced. Granted, I put about 5,000 miles on driving across country and back and forth from ID to CA a few times. And I was towing a trailer, but still. I was relieved when the rod and pinions were fine, but it didn't save me any money. Two more new tires $500, new front and back brakes $500. Arms on both front sides broken $800. Rental van that I was driving doused in paint from some idiot who lost it off of the back of the open pick up truck. It was night, so I thought it was water. Alas, no. The next morning when I got up I was horrified to see it was paint, now dried on the van. Splattered pretty much all over the entire van. Sigh. I tried the pressure washer, hot water and a scrub brush, pleading, shouting, nothing worked. It wasn't latex paint, more like an enamel. Double sigh. $250 to the detail shop to remove said paint before I turned the rental back in. Triple sigh.
To top it off, two days of this week were spent arranging rides to take care of said vehicles. What's the point of having a rental van that you can't use for an entire day because it needs repairs itself? I've had a sick kid home from school and tonight at 7:00pm I am expecting around 50 people from church to show up at my house for my part of the progressive dinner. At least I don't have to prepare the salad, but I have been working all week to get the house cleaned up and organized a bit more. I can finally see the entire floor of my laundry room since moving in. I've had bags of clothes to give away and a pile of "stuff" sitting there forever that has now been taken care of. One bright spot of the week, I did win a beltlette on a radio station. What is a beltlette? Apparently some cute new belt designed to hold lipstick and money so you don't have to carry a purse while your out clubbing or picking up guys at the bar. hahahahaha. Guess I'll just have to use it for it's aesthetic properties only. Problem is the radio station is 1 1/2 hours away in the Tampa area. Maybe that will give me a good excuse to take the kids to the beach on their next day off of school and pick it up.

Our New Resident
We are officially in Florida. Not that we haven't been for the past 7 months, but today, a 4-5 foot gator moved into the back yard and has nested. So, it's official. We're in Florida. Wade is flabbergasted. He truly thought that he wouldn't have a problem. Don't know why seeing as we have a pond in the back that is connected to the lake. Luckily I have sufficiently scared the kids to death about gators and their ability to eat young children. The boys are really afraid of it and Daniel was actually in tears at one point when Wade went to get a closer look.
(ps The cans and bottles have only showed up since the water level went down. We didn't leave them there, and I'd be willing to clean them up if Ms. Gator would move locations. Click on the photo for a better view of Ms. Gator. Wouldn't she look lovely as a belt, wallet, and pair of boots?)

So, yes. It is my birthday. My mother informs me I was due Jan. 30th, but obviously I had some other things to get in order before I made my quick entrance into this world. I can only hope my exit will be as quick when it's time comes. So what have I learned in my 30+ years (of course I will not tell you my age. If you don't already know it is 25)
* Family first. There is nothing as important or special as my family. My husband, our children, and our collective brothers, sisters, and parents. Of course there are times I would rather pummel some of them then spend an eternity with them, but when it really comes down to it, I love them all more than I could ever describe. Which is why I find it hard to say "I love you."
* Ferrarris do matter. Okay. Not really, but is it so wrong for me to want a ferrarri? Is it really wrong for me to list it as my 2nd thing I've learned in life?
* Have FUN. How is it that we spend our childhood wishing to be adults and our adult life trying to figure out how to be a kid again? Time sure does pass by way too quickly. I used to love playing Dungeons and Dragons with my brothers. Not the game everyone else used to play. We would bury things in the hill across from our house and set up elaborate myths and fantasies to find the treasure. Now all my imagination seems to want to give me is horrors of the feds taking over our very existence. I need to lighten up and remember to have fun.
* Work hard. Sorry, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but there is no substitution for knowing how to work hard to achieve your dreams. Even if you never reach the full accomplishment, enjoy the journey and be proud that you did it yourself. Maybe you had the help of family and friends along the way, but as long as you did your part and worked as hard as you could to succeed, no one can take that away from you.
* It's almost 10:00pm and I'm tired. I've learned to sleep when I can. Yep, I take a nap with my 3 year old when ever I need to. Do I always sleep? No. But even just snuggling with him and taking a minute to be still is wonderful. I've also learned that I am a night owl and will stay up way past my bedtime to enjoy some peace and quiet. That peace for me includes reading. I love to read. I love to read when everyone else in my house is in bed and nobody needs anything from me. So, even though I know more, but know enough to know that I don't know enough, I'm going to end my list here and go enjoy some peace.

I know I've been beating the dead horse about this. But the signs are all here for a global food shortage. Please, please, please, start today. Not tomorrow. Today. Think baby steps if you haven't already begun, but take them quickly. I'm looking for more MRE's to store. Hopefully will be able to find them. Also planning on going to the cannery to get my wheat supply.

Conversations with the Kids
After reading a blogging buddy's blog about herpes, I just had to share this story. (hat tip Kamilli)
Wow do our kids know how to embarrass us or what? Sat. one of Kyrie's friends was hanging out at the house (after Kyrie had left for a dance). She was waiting for the neighbors, who are also her friends, to get home so she could go there to wait for her mom. (Yes, that is a long side story that is not necessary to the plot, but I will have to blog about the reason she was here some time soon. She is muslim and was upset about a comment made to her by another muslim friend about the Palestinians). Now, back to the real story....Kade gets home, walks in and says, "hi, and by the way, my dad has herpes." I really thought Wade was going to rip his head off. Now, before you start wondering about his unfortunate STD, let me quickly say, no, not that type of herpes. Wade has been sick with a horrible cold and unfortunately it has been accompanied by a cold sore outbreak.
I told him he should do a genetic study on the Lackey clan seeing how none of us ever get cold sores. Especially since 1/2 of us are married to those unfortunate lepers who do get them. If we could identify why we are immune, and market a vaccine for cold sores, we would be rich. Right? So, which one of you are ready and willing to part with some DNA?

I told him he should do a genetic study on the Lackey clan seeing how none of us ever get cold sores. Especially since 1/2 of us are married to those unfortunate lepers who do get them. Listen to the Still Small Voice
I have no doubt that we as a country are headed for a upheaval of sorts as food costs rise, food production falls, states file bankruptcy, and patriots talk of civil war and secession. Don't believe me? Start looking at Pat Dollard's website and others to read what people are talking about. Even the state of New Hampshire has a resolution before it's congress to pass a bill to declare certain actions by the federal government to be completely totally void and warning that certain future acts will be viewed as a "breach of peace" with the states themselves that risks "nullifying the Constitution." This act by New Hampshire is a clear warning to the federal government that they could face being stripped of their power by the States (presumably through civil war!) read more about it here
Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations. Now, if you've read some of my previous posts about FEMA and it's concentration camps, this is more of the same. Presumably these are facilities to be used in the event of biological warfare to quarantine the sick, but the language is left vague as to what else they could be put to use for in the case of martial law being declared by the Feds. Read about it here and call/email/write your state representatives to tell them DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BILL!!
I know some of you, (John), think I've become a bit of a right wing nut job, but o-contrar I am simply listening to the Holy Ghost and the Prophets. Today I canned 15lbs of ground beef and need to do 3X that amount. Decided for my food storage one night a week will be Santa Fe Taco Soup. We all love it and it is easy to store the ingredients for this. (I will post the recipe on my recipe blog soon I promise). Found petite diced Dole tomatoes for 0.49 a can at a discount store. Whoo hoo!! I only bought three cases, should've taken all they had. I'm using the Boy Scout motto "Be Prepared" and the New Hampshire motto "Live Free or Die". Wade just bought a new Glock and is getting me one too with a suppressor. We were supposed to go to the firing range on Saturday, but didn't have time. Will try to go this Sat. Taking the kids too, except the 3 year old. They all need to learn how to use fire arms and be safe with them. So how's that for crack-a-lackin' crazy?
