House Hunting

Well, after finding the PERFECT house for my family, we aren't going to make an offer on it and will go with choice #2. Apparently it is in a less desirable part of town, not bad, but not great. It was just so perfect though. 4600+ square feet, almost an acre, NEW with every upgrade you can think of. So, we'll go for #2, see if we can square up a contract on it by Monday and then in a few years we can build the exact home I want. Here is a link to what we are hoping to get. If it doesn't work you can copy and paste. Check out the home tour. It is nice, just not as big, but we can add a couple of rooms above the garage. The garage will hold 6, yes 6 cars. It is not on a lake, but across the street from one and has a gorgeous patio/pool area. The day we move in I will have someone there installing a child safety fence around the pool. Come stay with us when ever you'd like. We are only 40 minutes from Disney, Animal Kingdom, Universal, Sea World, Orlando, Tamp, 4 hours from Miami, and tons of beaches in every direction. This home has been completely redone since the hurricanes of '04 and has a safe room, and is category 4 or 5 wind rated.
(I have removed the link as the home is no longer on the market and won't show up)

Wade has the older two boys out camping tonight, Kyrie is sleeping over at a friends, so it is just D-Oh and me hanging out together. Not sure what to do with myself it is so quiet and peaceful. Enjoy it while I can!!! Michelle and I had a great time in Florida over the weekend. We were so silly, just like teenagers again, but had fun none the less. Surprisingly Wade managed okay without me, but with a lot of help from Kyrie. Thanks to both of them, especially Kyrie. She gets dumped on a lot by her dad for help when I'm gone.

Going to Florida

I'm leaving on the red eye tonight sans children for a full weekend of house hunting. I'm more worried about Wade being alone with the 4 kids for 3 nights than anything. It will be the first time D-Oh has been left without a mommy over night. Hopefully things will go well for them all. Keep your fingers crossed because if I get a phone call from a neighbor in the middle of the night about a crying baby I will not be very nice in my response.

Things that make you go Hhmmm

I was talking with a friend in Alabama a few weeks ago who had jury duty. Her husband is the chief of police in a small town there and I was surprised that she would be seated on a trial. I told her that I would have to move away from here if I was to get a summons as there is really no way for me to "schedule" someone to take care of my kids since I don't know anyone who could. I would serve if I could, and did do my duty in Poky FYI. So, low and behold last week, what comes in the mail for me? Oh yeah. A summons to jury duty for the criminal court of Los Angeles. Duty to start June 23rd. That just happens to be the same day the moving company is scheduled to be here and we will already be gone on the 21st, hopefully. I still had to call in and register my notice and get a delay and then send them proof of my new address when I move. What a hassle. I think I would be scared to serve on some of the cases here, afraid that the drug pushers/dealers/gang members might try to sway the jury by finding out your identity and harassing your family or what not. I don't know that that has happened here recently, but I watch enough CSI type shows that my imagination can run wild with the possibilities.

Kade's team lost their game yesterday. But it is double elimination, so hopefully things will go better. They had a lot of fielding errors. I'm almost embarrassed by the behavior of the coaches at times, especially one in particular. I think you know who I mean. It's almost as if he forgets that these are 9, 10, & 11 year olds playing and not pros. Even the pros make mistakes and don't win them all. Kade hit great again and had a triple with 3 RBIs that took them to within 1 point of the other team, but then nobody else hit or scored and they ended up losing by 5.

Celebrity Games and More

Saw Jamie Lee Curtis this morning. She is a beautiful woman.

Kade had another awesome game...hit a grand slam to finish the game up for the team. They won and are still in first.

Moving day is getting closer!!!! Yeah!!! Just wish it was closer than 5 weeks

Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish Happy Mother's Day to my daughters and the wives of my sons, and mothers of my grandchildren. I have contemplated some about motherhood, as the first 3-4 talks we heard were about mothers, fathers and families, since being here. I wonder how well of a job I did at times, so I appreciate all the efforts my children made in spite of their mother. I pray that as you all take time with your families your efforts will bear fruits that you can enjoy. Raising children is a hard effort that does not cease after they are married and out of the home. Mothers worry about their children I think into the eternities. May you have a Day full of love is my prayer/ Luv, MOM

A Good Game

Kade had a great game today. He hit a in park home run, a triple and a double with 6 RBIs. His team won the game 9 to 8. He tagged out a runner at home after a wild pitch. All in all a really good game to be proud of.

MVP resolved

Thought you might like an update. Heart is doing well. The MVP I've had has actually resolved itself surprisingly enough, and I don't even have to take prophylactic antibiotics to go to the dentist now. Echo looked good too. My RHR is 52, surprising as I haven't been able to do enough cardio this year. There are some abnormal palpitations still so the doc gave me a rx for a low dose beta blocker that I can take when ever I'm having a period of tachycardia or lots of palpitations. All good news and I'm hoping once we move there won't be so many stress triggers for me.

Fun With Peanut Butter Salutes to our Mom

Daniel stuck both hands into the peanut butter jar last night and went to town. I have to say I prefer this media to his other (poop). His fun reminded me of the time Chet played in the peanut butter with the Rogers kid next door. Both were smeared head to toe in the stuff. Chet was a couple of years younger and smaller than the Rogers boy, but regardless, his father had the audacity to ring the bell and chew out mom for allowing Chester to smear his kid with peanut butter. Why is it that some adults react to situations so immaturely they make the thing they are complaining about seem insignificant compared to the behaviour they are exhibiting because of the said event? He was an arse to be sure.

I also just realized that I am older than mom was when the picture of the family camping trip was taken. How can that be? Time has a way of slipping by. I still remember that trip and the many others we took. We sure were blessed to be able to do so many great things together as a family, even if there was fighting amongst the masses during the trip. I'm grateful for having such amazing parents who never gave up on me. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!!!
