Anyone remember that song by Krokus? My kids would be singing it at the top of their lungs if they knew the words.
Well, we got no choice
All the girls and boys
Makin' all that noise
'Cause they found new toys
Well, we can't salute ya
Can't find a flag
If that don't suit ya
That's a drag
School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's been blown to pieces
No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks
Well, we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes
School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's been blown to pieces
No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks
Out for summer
Out 'til fall
We might not go back at all
School's out forever
School's out for summer
School's out with fever
School's out completely
This was one of the songs on BodyCombat release 32 that I taught the other day and it's been stuck in my mind since. The horror of it is quickly settling in. School's out for summer in 4 days time. AHHGGGG!!! I always look forward to summer break, then WHAM!!! About 3 weeks in I can't wait for school to start again. We'll see how it goes this time around. I've decided to hire a maid to do the bathrooms, floors, and windows. If I can get the kids and hubby to help keep things picked up, she can come in and deep clean once a week. It's the getting everyone to help keep things picked up bit that is going to be a struggle. I need to scream again....AHHHHGGGG!!! Okay. I feel better. Bring it on summer. I'm tougher than you.
The comings and goings of the Fabulous Foster Four and their crazy parents.

A Day in the Life
We were so excited to see the shuttle launch today, that we sat and had mac-n-cheese and skipped the nap to watch it. Dang good for nothing, don't ever drop us any rain, clouds had to get in the way. Couldn't see anything. On a positive note, Dan did find a toad to play with. Had fun chasing it around the yard in the 100 degree weather.
Kyrie received the coach's award for most team spirit, or as she called it, the loud mouth award, for her lacrosse season. She also earned 14th place state wide in her french exam out of a couple of thousand students, and had one of the top 10 GPA's in her class.
Kade had his strings concert last week. I am always very impressed with the strings program at their school. Took many vids. Promise to load them and pics soon. Lost his 2nd play-offs game, so is now done with bball. Whew.
Jake has another play-off game tonight. Lost for the first time last week but his team could still win the tourney. I'm just ready to be done, so really don't care either way. His team never has practices, except that the 6 coaches do get their kids together to practice all of the time, just not with the entire team. How ridiculous is that? Then the coaches get mad if you try to coach your own kid from the stands. Well, someone's gotta do it.
Dan got a big kid bike because as he put it "his old one stops." He still likes to ride around the house on his trike, but is doing really well with his training wheels on the new bike.
Wade's idea of a nice Mother's Day surprise? Run to the grocery store after church, grab a cheesecake and ice cream, come home and inform wife that he wants to invite a couple over for said desert even though the house is a mess. I put my foot down and said no way, not toady. Then after sitting everyone down to eat the dinner that mom cooked, says, wait, I actually made something else for Mother's Day. Opens a pot that has two rubber chickens in hot water in it and declares it chicken soup. Hardy har, har. Even though he doesn't know how to do gifts or make special occasions "special" I still love him.

Star Trek
I happened to see a part of The Chronicles of Riddick on TV tonight. I didn't really understand the movie, but liked the action/fighting. What can I say? I'm a blood and guts kind-of gal. Plus I found the eye candy to my liking.
I couldn't help but notice how nice looking the character Vaako was and had to IMDB the actor. Well, duh!!! Of course I liked him. It was Karl Urban who played Eomer in LOTR. This man is a virtual chameleon. He is so nice looking, but almost unrecognizable in many of his roles. My all time favorite muscle man to watch is Dwayne Johnson. What a fine specimen of a man. Guess what else I found out on IMDB? The Rock and Karl starred together in the movie Doom. You can bet if it comes out edited on TV I will be watching it.
I'm planning on catching Star Trek tomorrow night, and low and behold, Karl Urban is the new Doc Bones. I would've never put him together with the same actor who played Eomer. Even more reason to boldly go where no man has gone before. Hey Karl, beam me up!!!!

Conversations with the Kids
Oh the wicked wiles of childhood.
Jacob, "Kyrie. Are you going to put your other shirt back on? People will look at your boobs." (Kyrie had taken off her Oxford and had a tank top on. We were just getting ready to go into Toys R Us)
Kyrie, "Oh my gosh!!! My brothers are such perverts. Stop looking at my boobs."
Me, "Kyrie, your brothers are not looking at your boobs."
Daniel, "Yes I am!!"

You Do the Math
It would appear that the last story I posted may not be true. For those of you who read my blog, I am not acting as a journalist. I am not going to use "due diligence" as Kevin put it, in researching my stories. Sorry. If you were as excited as I was to hear the story, and told others, again, I apologize. Maybe this will assuage your chagrin.
In Obama's own words: My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.
Yeah right. Openness my lily white ass. So here is the $100 question.
Did Obama attend Occidental College under the name of Barry Soetoro? Was Barry Soetoro a Fullbright Scholar? The Fullbright scholarship either BRINGS FOREIGN STUDENTS TO THE UNITED STATES to learn and be educated to receive/obtain a college/university undergraduate degree, or it will ONLY sponsor existing College/University US CITIZEN GRADUATES (prefereably Master’s Degree and above) to go abroad. Since Obama was then 18-20 yr. old Barry Soetoro he was AT THAT TIME , defined by the Financial Aid terms of the Fullbright Scholarship in 1979, 1980, 1981…as a NON-US CITIZEN and “foreign national”.
Was Obama a Fullbright Scholar? Read this article to see what has transpired in an effort to find out...HERE
Alan Keyes responded as such to the proceedings:
Though not unexpected, this motion confirms Obama’s ruthless determination to destroy anyone who continues to seek the information the Constitution requires. Why should they demand penalties against citizens who are simply seeking the enforcement of the Supreme Law of the Land? It is simply because their persistence runs contrary to the will of a supposedly popular demagogue? This smacks of tyrannical arrogance. That Obama thus signals his intent to bring financial ruin on those who won’t accept his cover-up of the circumstances of his birth is a tactical escalation. It confirms the common sense suspicion that he won’t act forthrightly in this matter because he has something to hide.
Again, do the math. Why would he spend so much money to hide his records if he had nothing to hide? So, there is as much investigative journalism as I am going to get involved with in this story. If I should hear something with a more reliable source you can bet I will let you know.
In the meantime. Did you know that Obama quietly agreed to outsource capitalism to European Socialists while attending the G-20 Summit in England last month? During the recent meetings of the G-20, the nations issued a proposal for a "Financial Stability Board" and an International Economic Union that would control all financial institutions around the globe. This includes the U.S. Granted, it is just a proposal. But he did agree with it.

And the Walls....Come Crumbling Down
This is exactly why Obongo didn't want his college transcripts released. Oh, things are going to get interesting.

CALL YOUR SENATORS AND DEMAND THEY LOOK AT THIS PROOF…
Subject: Smoking gun finally found?

AP- WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama’s qualifications for the presidency, the group “Americans for Freedom of Information” has released copies of President Obama’s college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama’s detractors have been seeking.
The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama’s legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London, where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue. Meanwhile, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs scoffed at the report stating that this was obviously another attempt by a right-wing conservative group to discredit the president and undermine the administration’s efforts to move the country in a new direction.
Britain’s Daily Mail has also carried the story in a front-page article titled, “Obama Eligibility Questioned”, leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama’s first official visit to the U.K.
In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama’s legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey. This lawsuit claims Obama’s dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio’s case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama’s citizenship or qualification to serve as president.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama’s campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.
